My Great Grandmother.
My Grandmother.
My Mother.
All of them have green thumbs.
Me.
Not so much.
So imagine my pleasant surprise.
To discover where I am seriously lacking.
My love is not.
He too has a way with plants.
Our apartment is filled with pots of big leafy vibrant green.
The real kind.
Not waxy and fake and ficus.
Maybe he'll teach me someday.
Or maybe.
For the sake of the plants.
I will just leave it for him.

36/366: One Object 15 Ways
Once upon a time there was a fish.
He was a gift for my brother.
However.
He has become a member of our family.
Lovingly passed from one to another.
When least expected.
Most recently passed to my husband.
Meet Fish.

Meet Fish.

Fish in a bag.
Fish getting a tan.
Fish ready for football season.
CEO Fish.
Hello, this is Fish. How may I help you?
Fish hates the 405.
Frat boy Fish.
Fish in a tree.
Fish asks, "Are you my mother?"
Looking for other Fish.
Two Fish Faces.
Fish on the slide.
Fish made a friend at the playground. Meet Musa.
Goodnight Fish.

Second Pics: Week 5
This week was extraordinarily busy.
I found myself not getting nearly as much.
Camera time as I have in weeks past.
It was a learning experience.
A lesson.
In priorities.
I wasn't super happy with some of my shots.
I didn't give myself a ton of options to choose from.
At the end of the day.
That's life.
That's what this is about.
I'm not always going to love a shot.
I'm not always going to have lots of time.
I'm not always going to love the subject matter.
Yet.
I must still complete the task at hand.
To the best of my ability.
And hopefully...
Learn.
Grow.
Smile.
Persevere.
and to borrow a phrase from Tim Gunn...
Make. It. Work.

Just Shoot Me Workshop: My Saturday in Simi Valley
My super gifted friend Jamie, of J. Costea Photography, held a photography workshop yesterday. It was for anyone that wanted to know more about how to use their camera. Jamie is fun, creative and an awesome photographer. Please check out her work at the link above.
So, when she invited me up to spend the day with her...I was all about it.
The workshop was extremely well done and I had so much fun hanging with Jamie and meeting the other gals.
We talked. We laughed. We ate. We snapped. We talked shop.
There were cupcakes.
I won a PRIZE.
Oh yeah.
It was an awesomely fun day.
Two themed shoots were set up so everyone could put their skills to the test. Both shoots were designed, styled, and posed by Jamie Costea. Below are some of my shots from the day.
